I was at Great Clips last week. Because of Shelter in Place, it had been almost 2 months since I had a haircut. It was the first thing I wanted after I was allowed back out into society again.
When I arrived, there were 4 people in front of me, all standing outside. Only people who were currently getting a haircut were allowed inside. One woman had been waiting there for two and a half hours! Because of the way things were setup, we had to stand outside to wait our turn.
The Idea
Create a Progressive Web SMS App that allows employees to quickly enter in a customer’s phone number and add them to a Waiting List. The customer can then go wait in their car, go for a walk, or whatever. Make the list easy to manage; reprioritize customers with drag and drop, swipe left to check them in. Once it’s the customer’s turn, an SMS message is sent to them so they can return for their appointment. Charge $4.95 a month subscription through Stripe.
